Financial Planning for Life Changes--Title Slide

Today, I’d like to address: Overcoming “What’s Next?” Anxiety: Financial Planning for Life Changes. If you’ve recently experienced a significant life change—perhaps a divorce, the loss of a spouse, a career shift, or the kids leaving home—you may be asking yourself a simple yet overwhelming question: “What’s next?”

And if that question comes with a heavy dose of anxiety, uncertainty, or even fear… you’re not alone. I’ve worked with many women who have stood exactly where you are now—at a crossroads, unsure of which direction to take, and wondering how to move forward with confidence.

Transitions can feel disorienting because they shake up the life you’ve known. It’s completely normal to feel anxious when the future appears unclear. But the truth is, asking ‘What’s next?’ isn’t a weakness—it’s a turning point. It means you’re ready to take back control and start designing a life on your terms.

Financial Planning for Life Changes

One of the most effective ways to ease that anxiety is to begin with a plan—specifically, financial planning for life changes. This doesn’t just mean spreadsheets or retirement accounts. It involves creating a plan that supports you emotionally, practically, and financially as you step into your next chapter.

When your money is aligned with your goals, you stop feeling stuck—and start feeling empowered.

Start with Small, Meaningful Steps

Here’s how to begin:

  • Clarify what matters most to you. What do you want more of in your life—freedom, peace of mind, connection, or purpose?
  • Take stock of your financial picture. What resources do you have? What’s causing stress?
  • Build a strong financial foundation: an emergency fund, a spending plan, and a long-term roadmap.

You don’t need to figure it all out at once. But you do need to start.

I follow this approach to financial planning for life changes because I’ve seen how transformative it can be—especially for women navigating major transitions.

You don’t have to face this moment alone. With the right guidance, you can transition from anxiety to clarity—and from worry to action.

If you’re ready to start this journey, I invite you to schedule a call. No pressure—just a conversation about where you are and where you want to go.

Your next chapter doesn’t have to be uncertain; it can be empowering—and I’m here to help you write it.
